Lumigan 0.01% Eye Drops is a prescription ophthalmic solution used to treat elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It contains Bimatoprost 0.01%, a prostaglandin analog that increases the outflow of aqueous humor (fluid inside the eye), thereby reducing pressure within the eye and helping prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss.

Manufactured by Allergan, Lumigan 0.01% is a lower-concentration alternative to Lumigan 0.03%. It offers similar therapeutic benefits but with a reduced risk of side effects, making it ideal for patients who experience irritation or discomfort with stronger formulations.

In some cases, Lumigan 0.01% is also used off-label to promote eyelash growth, though this should be done under medical supervision.
